Carter's Vineyards

Carter’s Vineyards in the village of Boxted is an enchanting place comprising of 40 acres of vines, wildflower meadows, lakes and woodlands.

The vineyard produces an extensive range of English wines, which reflects well this regions suitability for fine wine production.  Several of the wines have won awards including most recently King Coel, 2003 Vintage, Winning East Anglian Wine of the Year 2006.

The Vineyard is open to the public from Easter Monday to 31 October from 11am to 5pm and welcomes visitors to experience a working winery and enjoy a tasting session of a selection of our wines in the tasting barn or on the terrace overlooking the lake.

Carter’s Vineyards has chosen to use only renewable energy to power the enterprise which is not connected to mains electricity or water.  Electricity and heating are provided by two wind turbines and solar panels.
