Bunting & Sons is one of Colchester’s longest standing businesses established in 1820.

This website provides an overview of the business, both past and present. The history section provides a historical record of the business, with reproductions of many old photographs from our archives, some of which date back well over 100 years.

Moving forward to the present day the firm has several business enterprises and is heavily committed to conservation and the preservation of our heritage. Playing a leading role in both the Borough of Colchester and the local rural economy.

The business has evolved and diversified considerably from our traditional horticultural origins and our preservation of heritage and conservation undertakings are part of our exciting plans for the future to redevelop our Great Horkesley nursery site and create Horkesley Park as an outstanding Heritage and Conservation Centre.
